Peter Garrett - National Cultural Policy Consultation

Arts Minister Peter Garrett will be facilitating an Australia-wide consultation and dialogue around the development of a national cultural policy for Australia. He has identified 3 key themes for consideration:

1. Keeping culture strong;

2. Engaging the community; and,

3. Powering the young.

A National Cultural Policy web forum has been developed at which asks the questions:

• What positive steps would you like to see to advance Australian Culture?
• What do you think should be priorities for a national cultural policy?
