Update on the recent culturemap survey
culturemap.org.au launched in August this year, and whilst it’s still early days the team is eager to see the site develop and become even more useful for members.
Towards this aim, members were contacted recently with an e-survey to gather feedback about how culturemap.org.au is working for you and to get your input on how it can be improved. Thank you all for your responses. Kelly Watson was the winner of the book.
There were some interesting findings from the survey. For one, it seems the dominance of Facebook in the social space (I read last week that Facebook accounts for 29% of the time Australians spend online - and that's 7.55 hours a month! http://bit.ly/gAshD) extends to the more “serious” realm of cultural development with many of you finding Facebook has become a prime source of information.
There were many good suggestions which we’re investigating now. Ideas we’ll be exploring for early early next year include incorporating map mash-ups, making photos and videos easier to include in your posts, and tweaking the usability to make the site easier to get around.
